Dubai: Rough seas and unstable weather with chances of rain are expected today in the UAE, with cloud cover increasing over most parts of the country.
The National Centre for Meteorology (NCM), in its forecast for the day, shared on social media early morning, said the forming clouds could become convection clouds “associated with rainfall of different intensity at scattered places, maybe lightening at times”.
Meanwhile, moderate winds may cause dust and sand to blow over land, while waters in the Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea will be “rough to very rough at times”.
In coastal areas, where most of UAE’s population resides in cities, the clouds and winds will keep temperatures down early morning and late night. NCM is forecasting lows between 15C and 20C for today. During the mid-afternoon, coastal temperatures will reach highs of 22C to 27C.
Last night, heavy rain hit some parts of Ras Al Khaimah, while bordering Umm Al Quwain, and Fujairah (on the east coast), received light to moderate rain.
