Saudi King Salman bin Abdul-Aziz Al Saud held a telephone call with the President of the United States Donald Trump, who condemned the attempt by the Houthi militia to target the city of Riyadh with a ballistic missile.
President Trump condemned the criminal attempt, which he described as a blatant attack on the Saudi sovereignty and targeted a populated area.
He reiterated the US stance in support of the Saudi Arabia in confronting threats to its national security.
The two leaders discussed measures to implement the Security Council resolutions, hold the Iranian regime accountable for its aggressive actions and supplying its Houthi militia with missiles to threaten the security and stability of Saudi Arabia and other countries of the region.
They stressed the need to support all relief and humanitarian operations in order to alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people.
