The weather condition in Oman has been harsh throughout the week. An eight-year-old boy died after falling into a drain in the eastern region of Oman. His body was later found by his family who had rushed him to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead upon arrival.
On the same day, in the north-west region of the country, a Pakistani national was electrocuted to his death when an electric pole fell on him. He initially tried to escape by removing the wires with his bare hands, but instead the wires had caused his sudden death.
The authorities in Oman have received over 5,000 calls in regards to issues caused by the harsh weather, such as floods.
The rainfall had caused heavy traffic to the roads along with power outage in many areas of the country.
Satellite imagery shows that the extreme weather conditions are likely to carry over to next week.
