Thick fog disrupts flights at Abu Dhabi Airport

Abu Dhabi: Thick fog has today caused a disruption of scheduled flights at Abu Dhabi International Airports.

The Abu Dhabi Airport said that thick fog could last till early Sunday morning, which may affect the departing flights and those landing in the UAE capital.

Passengers have been urged to contact their respective airlines to check the new timings of their flights.

The Abu Dhabi Airports also called upon passengers to contact the customer service office and the communication centre, apologising for any inconvenience, according to Emarat Alyoum.

Etihad Airways has delayed and cancelled a number of flights which were scheduled for last night and this morning due to thick fog at Abu Dhabi Airport.

Stranded passengers were offered accommodation at hotels and their disrupted bookings will be rescheduled.
