Turkish plane makes emergency landing in Cairo

A Turkish Airlines plane made an emergency landing at Cairo International Airport to rescue a passenger who suffered a heart attack, Sabq newspaper reported.

The plane, which left Ataturk International Airport in Istanbul, was crossing Egyptian airspace enroute to King Abdulaziz Airport in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

The pilot contacted the control tower and requested for emergency landing.

The passenger received first aid on landing at the airport before he was transferred to Heliopolis Hospital in Cairo.
