Kuwait: Kuwaiti Chief of Staff Lieutenant-General Mohammed Khalid Al-Khedr escaped unhurt in a chopper accident in Bangladesh.

The helicopter that was carrying Lt-Gen. Al-Khedr smacked into the trees due to dense fog and low visibility and failed to land at the designated spot.

A member of the delegation accompanying Lt.Gen. Al-Khedr suffered minor injuries but the helicopter was damaged.

Lt.Gen. Al-Khedr rang up First Deputy Premier and Defence Minister Shaikh Nasser Sabah Al-Ahmed Al-Sabah and  Deputy Chief of Staff Lt.Gen. Abdulla Nawaf Al-Sabah and reassured them about the safety of the delegation.

The Kuwaiti military delegation headed to Bangladesh last Monday morning on an official visit to Dhaka.
