KSA - Palestinian conjoined twins Farah and Haneen have been successfully separated at King Abdulla Specialist Pediatric Hospital in Riyadh.
The Siamese twins were brought to National Guard Ministry’s King Abdul-Aziz Medical City following directives from Crown Prince, Deputy Premier and Defence Minister Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud.
The nine-stage separation surgery lasted 13 hours. The surgery was performed by a medical team led by Dr. Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabiah, adviser at the Royal Court and General Supervisor of King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center.
This surgery brings the number of successful siamese twin separation operation conducted in Saudi to 45 - which is a world record.
