The Crown Prince yesterday hailed the role of servicemen in safeguarding national security.
This came as His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander, First Deputy Premier, chaired a meeting of the Supreme Commission for the Royal Fund for Fallen Servicemen at Riffa Palace.
Interior Minister Lieutenant General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, His Majesty King Hamad’s personal representative for charity and youth affairs, Supreme Council for Youth and Sport chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee president Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and Supreme Council for Youth and Sport first deputy chairman and Bahrain Athletics Federation president Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa attended.
The Crown Prince highlighted the King’s central role in the establishment of the Fund, which reflects the kingdom’s commitment to provide appropriate support to families of fallen servicemen.
He stressed that the Fund’s work is an ongoing demonstration of the kingdom’s gratitude and appreciation towards Bahrain’s security services, whose dedication to public service forms the foundation of the kingdom’s safety and security.
