KSA: The Saudi Royal Air Defence intercepted a ballistic missile launched by the Houthi militias from the Yemeni territories.

The anti-air defence destroyed the missile as it was heading the province of Najran on the borders with Yemen, said the Saudi-led Arab Alliance Spokesman Colonel Turki Al-Malki.

He said that the ballistic missile was launched by the Iranian-backed Houthi militias from the governorate of Omran in Yemen, without reporting any casualties.

In a statement posted on the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), colonel Al-Malki said that the ballistic missile proves the involvement of Iran in backing the Houthi militias and supplying them with advanced weaponry, in violation of the UN Security Council Resolutions 2216 and 2231.
