GDN Online Desk

The King Abdulla Stadium (Al Jawhara) has opened its doors for women to attend the football match between Al Ahly to Al-Baten, as part of the 17th round of the Saudi professional football league.

A video showed women fans donning the scarves of their favourite team in front of gates 3 and 6 which were allocated for families.

The General Sport Authority set up a female team to facilitate the entry of fans to the family-only stands, Almarsd reported.

Officials in charge of the King Abdulla Stadium in Jeddah allocated 10,000 seats for families.

Families will also be allowed to enter the King Fahd Stadium in Riyadh tomorrow (Jan 13) for the clash between arch rivals Al Hilal and Al Riyadh.

The General Sport Authority announced that all arrangements had been made in three stadiums in Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam for families to attend the matches.
