Al Ahly clinched their 10th Egyptian Super Cup trophy after defeating Al-Masry following a hard-fought 1-0 win at the Hazza bin Zayed Stadium in the United Arab Emirates.
Ahly striker Walid Azarou scored the winning goal in the 101st minute after the two teams drew 0-0 draw in regular time.
Al Ahly are the record holders of the tournament with ten titles, seven more than arch-rivals Zamalek.
The 2017 Super Cup was hosted at the same stadium, when Al Ahly beat arch-rivals Zamalek 3-2 in 2015.
The match was attended by 23,739 spectators, almost filling the Hazza bin Zayed Stadium, which has a 25,000-seat capacity.
