THE Bahrain Drag Racing Championship will be back in action today for the third round of the 2017-2018 season at Bahrain International Circuit (BIC).
Drag racers from all over the Gulf including Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, the UAE and Bahrain, plus many from across the globe, are set to suit up for some of the most intense drag racing action in the region.
Action in this round kicked off last Tuesday and Wednesday with test and tune and qualifying last night.
Grandstand
Today’s race day programme is scheduled to begin at 4pm. All are welcome to attend. Tickets are available at the gate.
Tickets cost BD5 for the Start Line Grandstand and BD3 for the Batelco Grandstand. Children aged three to 12 years can attend for half the price.
The drag racers will be battling it out in a total of 16 categories. The 12 cars classes are: Outlaw FWD, Super Street 6 Cylinder, Street V8, Outlaw 10.5, Street 4 and 6, Outlaw 6-Cylinder, Super Street V8, Competition 4.5, Pro Mod, Index 10.5, Index 9.5a and Index 8.5 category.
The four motorbikes classes are: Pro Bike, Street Bike, Super Street Bike and Street Fight Bike 9.50.
The 2017-2018 season features five rounds in all. Following round three, the final two meetings will be held on back-to-back weekends, with round four scheduled from February 27 to March 2 and then the season-finale from March 6 to 9.
