Saudi Ambassador Mohammed Saeed Al Jaber arrived, for the first time, in the city of Aden, the temporary capital of Yemen.
He stressed his country’s keenness on supporting Yemen's national economy while helping the people to stand against the Iranian threat and achieve stability and security.
This came in a statement delivered by Ambassador Al Jaber in a meeting with Yemeni Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Ahmed Al Maysar and a number of Yemeni officials.
The ambassador also said that Saudi Arabia's decision to support Yemen emanates from the deep-rooted relations binding the two countries.
He highlighted the directive of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to deposit $2 billion in the Yemeni central bank to support the country’s security and stability.
