The excitement over the Sanjay Leela Bhansali epic 'Padmaavat' has not faded despite the month-long wait after controversy nearly killed the film.
A Rajput fringe group from Rajasthan was largely responsible for holding the film hostage leading to several demands from the film certification board to ensure the movie's release.
One fo the demands was that the song Ghoomar from the film which focuses on Deepika Padukone became a hot topic of discussion as one of the historians who was watching the film with the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) members, raised an objection over her attire exposing her midriff.
After the CBFC suggested the makers of Padmaavat to cover her midriff, the song is finally edited.
Deepika's midriff in the Ghoomar song is finally covered using CGI.
Sanjay Leela Bhansali's magnum opus starring Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor will finally hit the silver screens on January 25, 2018.
Here is the edited song.
