POP and reggae legends UB40 are set to perform live in Bahrain this weekend for a first-of-its-kind music festival.

The renowned British band will take to the stage for Desert Beats, at the Bahrain International Circuit, Sakhir on Friday.

With more than 50 singles in the UK Singles Chart over the years, UB40, comprising founder and frontman Ali Campbell, vocalist Astro and Mickey Virtue on the keyboard, has been nominated for four Grammy Awards for Best Reggae Album.

UB40 joins an exciting line-up for a day of non-stop music being headlined by American music icons Kool and the Gang.

The event will also feature a tribute to the King of Pop by guest artists Unity: The Latin Tribute to Michael Jackson and performances by Youri Menna, Adam Kadabra, Mo Zowayed, Majaz and Tom Abelis accompanied by DJ Gustavito.

Tickets are priced at BD20 for adults and BD10 for those aged 15 years and below, while children aged seven years old and below can attend for free.
