AN inspiring movie night will be hosted by La Fontaine Centre for Contemporary Art next week.
The French film, A Quest For Meaning: Finding One’s Place in the Universe and Shifting Paradigms, will be screened on January 30.
In the film, two men try to question the fundamental beliefs of modern society – separation, competition and individualism. On their journey, they meet an array of people who are building the world of tomorrow.
Prior to the screening, International Academy of Alternative Medicine (AIMA) founders Cosimo Diciola and Dr Dejana Subsol will introduce audiences to their organisation.
Cosimo Diciola is also the president of the French Syndicates of Professional Naturopaths. The presentation will begin at 6.30pm and will be followed by the film and dinner from 8pm.
La Fontaine will also host a workshop on Saturday that follows the approach of the Stott Pilates method, which will be led by Roberta Trzebinski.
It will take place from 10.30am to 12.30pm and 1.30pm to 4.30pm.
Art lovers can look forward to the opening of a new exhibition at La Fontaine next month called Life Journey: An Art Exhibition by Fereshte Shishine.
Opening on February 8, the evening will also feature a performance by jazz band Groove Souq.
Doors will open at 6pm with dinner and the performance from 8pm.
