Dr Ravisankar G Pillai (MBBS, MD, Dip Uro, MRCS, Ch.M(Uro), FRCS (Uro), FEBU) will be available at RBH from Saturday (Jan 27) until February 4.
Patients can see Dr Pillai for consultations on genito-urinary problems such as prostate enlargement, frequent urinary infections, urinary incontinence in women, sexual dysfunction in men, kidney stones and infertility.
His service can be availed on laser prostate surgery, video urodynamic studies, microscopic vasectomy reversal, minimal invasive incontinence surgery and penile prosthesis implantation.
Dr Pillai is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, a member of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and a fellow of the European Board of Urology.
“Laser surgery, microscopic surgery and minimal invasive technologies have taken over most of the surgical treatments in urology,” said Dr Pillai.
“Sexual dysfunction in men and urinary incontinence in women are few of the most common urology problems not addressed due to social stigma.
“Urinary symptoms may be indicative of benign conditions to cancers.
“We have to use this window of opportunity to detect any cancer so that we can do appropriate timely cure.”
