Bahraini band to perform in Dubai

LOCAL band Majaz will perform this weekend at an Arab alternative music festival in Dubai.

Now in its second year, WASLA 2018 will take place in the Dubai Design District on Friday.

It features a full spectrum of contemporary and alternative Arabic music with diverse genres ranging from reggae, rock, jazz, soul, pop and electronic music.

Majaz is a four-piece fusion band that includes Jehad Al Halal, Abdulla Faisal, Salah Sharakhat and Hameed Al Saeed.

Widely recognised for their unconventional blend of instruments, they have performed at big music events in Bahrain in the past year including the Spring of Culture and most recently Desert Beats at Bahrain International Circuit, Sakhir.

Majaz joins a line-up that includes Cairokee, Hayajan, Autostrad, Lekhfa, Tania Saleh and Gnawa Diffusion.
