THE all-new 2018 Toyota Camry was launched in Bahrain yesterday.
Present at the unveiling ceremony were top officials from Ebrahim K Kanoo (EKK), the sole distributor of Toyota vehicles in the country, and Toyoto Motor Corporation.
The Camry has always been a favourite in Bahrain, said EKK senior marketing manager for Toyota Ayman Shehadeh.
“Building on the success of its predecessors, we are very excited to launch the all-new Camry,” he said.
“It has always been a favourite amongst all demographics in Bahrain and we expect the same for this model.”
The design of the eighth-generation Camry aims to test the limits of performance and intelligence, infusing the high-end sedan with a refined feel.
The design team began with a blank slate, using Toyota New Global Architecture as the basis for the all-new platform, units, electronics and other core components.
“To create something that stirs people’s soul, we have laid out the concept of a new sedan that provides fun and excitement behind the wheel,” said chief engineer of the all-new Camry Masato Katsumata.
The launch was held at the Toyota showroom in Sitra.
The price of the vehicle starts at BD8,990.
