The students of today are the future leaders of a country.
It is in this context that AMA International School – Bahrain (AMAISB) continuously shapes student leaders by sharing expertise of renowned speakers on various topics necessary to develop their 21st century skills.
Yesterday, AMAISB hosted a Leadership Workshop for 28 Student Council officers and grade level representatives from Grade 4 to 12.
Leading the group were High School Student Council president Ahmed Al Ansari, Middle School Student Council president Hussain Osama, Elementary Student Council president Aya Mohamed, and Supreme Student Council president Muhammad Umair Zahid Muhammad Zahid.
The workshop was spearheaded by Anna Liza Valencia, a noted speaker on leadership, teamwork and interpersonal relationships.
She has conducted several workshops for students and employees in the Philippines and Bahrain.
Meanwhile, students were amazed at the new learning they have encountered, the activities that were presented in the workshop and the interaction that they had while learning across different levels.
The younger student council officers had the experience to work with their peers in the higher grade levels and learned that this is the real world where they cannot choose who to work with and therefore must appreciate how to work well with others.
AMAISB does not limit its offering to the four walls of the academic classroom.
The school believes that education is all-encompassing and has no borders, thus, supports the ethos that learning is in everything we see, in everyone we meet and in anything we do.
We just have to choose the things that will educate us and make us better persons.
