MANAMA: Bahrain-based Bank ABC has been named among the top 10 GCC corporations by the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, which announced last Wednesday the winners of the Sharjah Economic Excellence Network Awards, including the Top 10 GCC Businesses Awards.
The economic excellence awards recognise sound corporate governance, quality assurance, work ethics and sustainable development.
The selection criteria included measures related to business excellence, professional practices and social responsibility.
“This award is yet another confirmation that we are on the right path to providing our customers with a differentiated experience and creating value for our shareholders,” said Bank ABC Group chief executive Dr Khaled Kawan.
“We particularly welcome the recognition of our bank, as an employer of choice and a committed contributor to our local community.”
The awards ceremony was held under the patronage of Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah Shaikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi at the Sharjah Expo Centre.
More than 100 corporation and tens of business leaders from the GCC were nominated to the 2017 excellence awards.
