MANAMA: Euromoney’s GCC Financial Forum set to be held in Bahrain later this month has signed up BBK as a charter sponsor.
As many as 700 C-suite delegates are expected to attend the annual forum, to discuss how fintech and innovation are driving a fundamental restructuring of the global financial services industry.
The event will be an important platform for delegates to hear from financial experts, regulators and leading figures in financial technology on the opportunities these developments are creating for their businesses.
Key panellists at the forum include Finance Minister Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Central Bank of Bahrain Governor Rasheed Al Maraj and Economic Development Board chief executive Khalid Al Rumaihi.
In a first for the forum, Allianz chief economic adviser Mohamed El Erian will take to the stage for an extended special Q&A session.
BBK CEO Reyadh Sater said, “The conference always provides an excellent opportunity to exchange ideas and debate the current challenges in the GCC financial markets, as well as explore the opportunities created by continuing digital disruption in the global financial sector.”
Euromoney Conferences’ Middle East and Africa director Victoria Behn said he was looking forward to returning to Bahrain.
“The line-up of speakers this year is better than ever and our theme of Innovation and the Future of Financial Services will ensure every session will be fascinating and informative; an event not to be missed.”
The forum is scheduled to take place on February 20 and 21 at the Four Seasons Hotel Bahrain Bay.
