The First High Labour Court has ordered a Bahraini restaurant chain to pay BD117,303 to a Swiss chef who filed a case alleging that he was dismissed without due compensation.

According to court documents, the chef worked for the company from February 9, 2008 for a monthly salary of $3,000.
He claimed that he was unfairly dismissed on January 10, without cash settlements covering unpaid salaries and benefits, reports our sister paper Akhbar Al Khaleej.
