Two pilots killed in Delta microlight crash, inquiry launched

KSA

Riyadh:  A young pilot and his companion were killed when their Delta microlight aircraft crashed in the region of Thamama, in the province of Riyadh.

The Aviation Investigation Bureau (AIB) announced an inquiry into the death of pilot Abdulaziz Al-Hidan and co-pilot Youssef Al-Hidan.

According to Akhbar 24, they were flying over Al-Thamama Park when they went missing. Their bodies were found a few hours later late last night.

The privately-owned Delta microlight reportedly crashed due to a technical fault which hit the engine.
