TWO major accidents yesterday resulted in injuries to just one driver.
In one incident a car burst into flames after crashing into a central reservation, while in the other a minibus overturned after hitting a pavement.
The first happened at around 1.30am on Al Estiqlal Highway, near Isa Town. Three Bahrainis in the car managed to escape before it burst into flames after colliding with a barrier.
The driver required hospital treatment, but the two passengers were unharmed and firemen extinguished the fire.
At around 5.30am in Salmabad, a minibus overturned after hitting the pavement, but the driver and his passenger – both from Pakistan – escaped injury.
