22 illegal immigrants found inside a concrete mixer truck

GDN Online Desk

Twenty-two illegal immigrants failed in their attempt to enter the United Arab Emirates, hidden inside a ready-mix concrete truck, Al Bayan newspaper reported.

The Federal Customs Authority (FCA), in collaboration with the Department of Seaports Customs in Sharjah, foiled the attempt through the Khatam Milaha border crossing point.

Customs officers at the border entry point scanned the truck, using biometric equipment, and discovered the infiltrators in the first week of this month.

Khatam Customs Border Centre director Mohammed Al Raissi said that the illegal immigrants included an African woman and 21 Asians.

The infiltrators, who exposed their lives to danger, were transferred to security authorities for legal action.
