Two former MPs who were convicted in absentia for taking part in storming the National Assembly in 2011 have returned to Kuwait.
Dr Faisal Al Musallem and Mubarak Al Waalan were arrested at Kuwaiti International Airport and transferred to prison, Al Qabas reported.
Kuwaiti citizens Ahmed Al Dhaidi and Abdulaziz Bouhammed returned with them from Istanbul and surrendered to the authorities in connection with the same case.
Meanwhile, 69 citizens sentenced to jail for storming the parliament seven years ago will stand before the Court of Cassation within hours.
The Court of Appeal overturned a ruling acquitting the defendants and sentenced them from five to seven years in prison.
In December 2013, the lower court acquitted 70 opposition activists, including nine former MPs, of charges of storming the parliament building on November 16, 2011.
