Piano-flute concert at cathedral

AN evening of beautiful music awaits guests of St Christopher’s Cathedral this week for Dances for Flute and Piano.

The event tomorrow will feature Bahraini flautist Ahmed Al Ghanem and Ukranian pianist Nadia Lopchynska.

Mr Al Ghanem has performed at various locations around the world and participated in concerts organised by Unesco in Paris and Havana, Cuba.

He also has performed with the famous musicians Marcel Khalife and Wissam Boustany and collaborated on music for theatre productions in Bahrain, Cairo and Switzerland.

Ms Lopchynska has played piano since she was eight years old.

She has performed in multiple concerts as an ensemble performer, solo performer and piano accompanist in Ukraine and Bahrain and currently works as a piano teacher at Harmony Music Centre, where she prepares students for the Associate Board of the Royal Schools of Music and Trinity Exams as well as recital shows and competitions, such as Musician’s Idol and Young Musicians of the Gulf.
