Dubai: The Emirate of Dubai has today unveiled the new-look number plate for cars, trucks, motorbikes and other vehicles.
The Dubai Roads and Transportation Authority (RTA) said the old plates would be replaced in four stages which started on the 16th of February and will run until 2021.
Drivers wishing to change their two short-sized number plates would be charged AED 35 and AED 50 for long-sized ones.
Car owners would be charges AED 400 in case they choose to replace two plates and fit the new Dubai logo on their vehicles.
Those who decide to change their plates are required to log to the RTA website and process the transaction – specifying the date, size, design and other details.
