Manama: Khaleeji Commercial Bank (KHCB) announced its sponsorship of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Society of Bahrain’s activities for 2018 as part of its commitment to social responsibility.
The CFA Society of Bahrain’s main focus is to continue promoting highest standards of excellence, integrity and professional ethics, contributing to the development of capital markets and local professional skills.
KHCB deputy general manager for support services Mahdi Abdulnabi Mohammed attended the sponsorship ceremony.
KHCB chief risk officer and acting chief executive Tawfeeq Mohamed Bastaki said, “We are pleased to support the CFA Society of Bahrain, as part of our commitment to promoting highest standards of professional conduct and education, raising standards for investment practices in the kingdom and supporting efforts aiming to achieve continued growth of Bahrain’s financial market.”
CFA Society of Bahrain president Mahmoud Nawar thanked KHCB for its support of the society’s activities, “which will have a significant impact on our qualitative programmes to improve financial and investment sectors”.
The society is one of the largest CFA organisations in the Middle East, with more than 200 members serving as portfolio managers, financial analysts, investment advisers and lecturers.
