The Bahrain Airport Services (BAS) announced a pay rise for 1400 Bahraini employees – in line with the Government’s drive, led by His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa.
The company said that the pay rise, which marks the 40th anniversary of its establishment, will be back-dated to January 2018, according to Bahrain News Agency.
The BAS board of directors announced the pay rise, based on the recommendations of the executive management, as part of efforts to improve Bahrainis’ living standards.
BAS Chief Executive Officer Salman Al-Mahameed underlined the new company’s strategy which focuses promoting human resources and enhancing productivity.
In a statement, he said that the rate of BAS Bahrainsation has today-reached 80% out of the overall personnel, adding that the payrise stemmed from the partnership with the Labour and Social Development Ministry and the Labour Fund (Tamkeen).
