Riyadh: An ancient sculpture of a camel has been found in Al Jawf, a region in the Northern part of Saudi Arabia.

The site is said to be 2,000-years old. It was discovered by a French-Saudi research team.

Researchers from the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS) in France and the Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage (SCTH) were exploring the site between 2016 and 2017.

The discoveries were made in an isolated area of a private property. Researchers have dubbed these finding as 'unique'

Most of the rock-carvings that were discovered by the research team revolved around ancient trade routes and lakes.
