The grand finale of the 2017/2018 Bahrain Drag Racing Championship takes place this week at Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) in Sakhir.
Things begin to heat up today and tomorrow with Test and Tune in preparation for Qualifying on Thursday and then the last head-to-head battles of the season on Friday.
Plenty is at stake in the meeting, including this season’s coveted titles in each category along with the prestigious Wally trophies from the National Hot Rod Association in the US.
Drag racers from all over the Gulf and from across the globe are expected to compete.
Tickets are available at the gate. For each night of Test and Tune costs BD2 apiece while tickets for Qualifying and Race Day are BD5 for the Start Line Grandstand and BD3 for the Batelco Grandstand. Children age from three to 12 can attend for half the price.
The drag racers will be battling it out in a total of 16 categories. The 12 cars classes include the Outlaw FWD, the Super Street 6 Cylinder, Street V8, Outlaw 10.5, Street 4 and 6, Outlaw 6-Cylinder, Super Street V8, Competition 4.5, Pro Mod, the Index 10.5, the Index 9.5a and the Index 8.5 category.
The four motorbikes classes are the Pro Bike category, the Street Bike, the Super Street Bike and the Street Fight Bike 9.50.
