GLOBALLY acclaimed British singer-songwriter Rita Ora will perform in Bahrain tomorrow night as part of this year’s Spring of Culture festival.
Her debut performance in the kingdom has been organised by the Economic Development Board (EDB) and will take place at Bahrain Bay from 8.30pm.
Born in Kosovo, the blonde beauty moved to the UK in 1991 when she was a year old and rose to fame in 2012 when she featured on DJ Fresh’s single Hot Right Now and subsequently released her debut album, Ora, in August 2012, both of which reached number one in the UK.
In the same year, she also became the artist with the most number one singles on the UK singles chart.
Some of her most popular singles include Your Song, How We Do, I Will Never Let You Down and For You, which recently featured on the Fifty Shades Freed soundtrack.
Last week, Ms Ora equalled a record jointly held by British female artists Shirley Bassey and Petula Clark for the last 30 years.
Her collaboration with Liam Payne, For You, became her 12th Top 10 single on the Official Singles Chart last week, climbing to number eight on the latest Top 40.
This means Ms Ora has equalled the record for the most Top 10 singles by a British female artist.
