Prices... increased without information is just cheating the public.
The buying power is not increasing, the pay scale is at its lowest... it’s just unfair to people because an increase in price has a direct and indirect effect on the economy. The general increase of commodity price is the by-product of hiked petrol prices.
There was no consensus done. Rather it was a shock within the government and officials with this uninformed change. It’s a burden on families and small scale businesses.
I hope the government takes firm action to benefit the public...
- Editor’s note: These two were among many responses to our online conversation: “Was it correct to increase petrol prices without warning to avoid panic buying”.
