A WORKSHOP showcasing three-dimensional (3D) printing capabilities in fashion will take place on March 27.
The event, 3D Fashionology, is being organised by Bahrain Fashion Incubator and Aim 3D, at the Wyndham Grand Manama, from 4.30pm to 8pm.
The introductory workshop will discuss 3D scanning and printing possibilities in creating textiles, shoes, glasses, clothing and jewellery.
Topics planned to be discussed include how 3D printers work, their applications and benefits. A full-body scanner will also be showcased at the event, which uses cameras to help create a 3D model of a person on the computer.
The event is being sponsored by Tamkeen and the UN Industrial Development Organisation.
