Dubai: A UAE-based Indian expatriate was killed in a traffic accident as he was spending his holidays in his hometown in Kerala on Friday.
His wife and son were also killed in the accident which happened a few hours after he reached his native town from the UAE, said Khaleej Times.
The victims were identified as Kollandeyithuveetil Shibu, 40, his wife Siji, 34, and their son Aditya, 11.
The couple and their two children were travelling on a bike in Chathannoor in Kollam district when a Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) bus hit them.
The couple's younger son Aadhish, 7, is the sole survivor of the accident, which took place on Friday afternoon around 2.30pm local time, according to media reports in Kerala.
Shibu is an employee of Ras Al Khaimah Al Jazeera Port. Siji was staying in Kerala where the two children were studying. It is said that Shibu went to visit his family as his older son completed his examinations.
