American intelligence sources have said that they now have a clearer picture of how the ex-Russian agent Sergei Skripal and his daughter Yulia were killed.
According to the Daily Mail, the American intelligence officials say that they inhaled 'dust-like' powdered Novichok toxin delivered through the vents of his car.
The attack was carried out almost two weeks ago in Salisbury.
According to reports in the ABC News, the toxin was a ‘Cold War substance’ that the Russian authorities ‘claimed never to have.’
Scotland Yard has refused to comment on the report.
The sources also told ABC News that as many as 38 people were affected by the nerve agent in Salisbury and more victims are expected.
It was 'premeditated' and 'attempted murder' rather than merely a bid to scare the father and daughter, the sources also said.
