KHK MMA fighter Mohammed Abbas secured two gold medals for Bahrain in K1 and full contact kickboxing at the ninth Arab Club Championship in Jordan.
Abbas won gold in the K1 tournament after defeating Jordanian fighter Amer Al Nawaysha in the final. The dominant performance also prompted him to win the gold in kickboxing with ease.
Abbas has also represented Bahrain at the IMMAF World Championships hosted during the Brave International Combat Week. The rising star from KHK MMA is adept at multiple disciplines of martial arts like boxing, jiu-jitsu, Muay Thai, sambo, wrestling and kickboxing. He had also claimed bronze medal for Bahrain under coach Eldar Eldarov at the Combat Sambo World Championship 2017 in Dushanbe, Tajikistan.
“It is one of the memorable moments in my life to represent the kingdom across the world. To secure gold and bringing our kingdom to the forefront makes it even more special for me. I need to thank His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa for the guidance, facilities and support that makes this dream possible and for the rapid development of combat sports in Bahrain,” said Abbas Khan after his victory.
