From a deep fryer to a wedding ring, people have forgotten many items during trips on their Uber ride.
Here’s a look into the Middle East’s Uber Lost & Found Index to see what has been left behind in Ubers over the last year (March ’17 - March ’18) - and it includes everything from shisha, painting or sound system!
The most frequently forgotten items during Uber trips in the Middle East were phones, wallets and keys (of cars and homes), with other forgotten items also including glasses, backpacks and jewellery. People in Riyadh, Dubai and Jeddah tend to be the most forgetful and reach out to them via their in-app support.
If you’re planning to take an Uber during the weekend, just make sure you do the “possession pat down” before leaving the car, as the index shows you’re most likely to lose something on a Thursday or Friday!
If you wake up on a weekend realising you left something behind, go to the help section in the app, click on the last trip you made and tap the ‘report missing item’ button (screenshot). They’ve promised to do their best to reunite you with your missing item.
