An Indian expatriate and a Jordanian national have become the latest lucky millionaires, Khaleej Times daily reported.
They were declared winners of the Dubai Duty Free (DDF) Millennium Millionaire and Finest Surprise draw, each clinching the much-coveted $1 million prize.
A 25-year-old Indian national, Dhaneesh Kotharamban, bought his winning ticket number 4255, Series 266, a few weeks ago while travelling to Kerala for a holiday.
He arrived in Dubai a year and a half ago and has since been working as an electrician.
The second Millennium Millionaire winner of the day was Yazan Qaryouti, who won in Series 267 with ticket number 1090.
The 34-year-old Jordanian national, who is based in Sharjah, bought around 70 tickets over the past six years as part of the promotion and his resolve has finally paid off.
Qaryouti works as general manager at a marble and granite manufacturing and supplying company.
