Crowne Plaza Bahrain has been recognised for its newly-renovated handicapped rooms by the Bahrain Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Society.
Some features of the rooms include larger doors, more accessible wardrobe spaces and bathrooms.
Bahrain CSR Society chairman Khalid Al Qoud said he was “so happy” with the hotel’s new renovation.
“Any handicapped child or person can now be in a hotel and have all the facilities to support them,” he told the GDN.
“It’s exactly like any medical place and we are very happy with what this hotel is doing by taking care of those with special needs.”
He encouraged other establishments to adopt similar measures.
