A huge sandstorm hit Riyadh today (March 30), turning the day into a dark night in the Saudi capital, according to Almarsd.
The authorities appealed to people to stay indoors, unless they have an emergency situation.
Social media users took to their Twitter accounts to post videos of the sandstorm.

The Civil Defence and the General Authority of Meteorology and Environmental Protection have also warned of strong sandstorms and low visbility.
