A HOST of celebrities were spotted at the Bahrain Grand Prix, including British filmmaker Guy Ritchie.
Sebastian Vettel marked his 200th Formula One race with a thrilling victory for Ferrari at Bahrain International Circuit yesterday in the presence of thousands of fans, high-level government officials and a celebrity line-up.
The likes of Guy Ritchie, Indian cricket team coach Ravi Shastri and popular British chef and television presenter James Martin attended the race.
The GDN caught up with Mr Martin after he completed a Formula One Pirelli Hot Lap in an Aston Martin Vanquish driven by former F1 driver David Coulthard.
“Bahrain is amazing. Bahrain is beautiful with great people,” he said.
“People make a country and it’s just full of fantastic people.”
Mr Martin is well-known in the UK for his cookery series Saturday Kitchen on the BBC which ran from 2006 to 2016.
“I’ve just come back from America and France as I’m doing a new television show there and with the restaurants,” he added.
“I leave here Tuesday and will be back in the kitchen Tuesday night.”
