Kuwait City – Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte has delayed his planned visit to Kuwait to next month.
Philippine Ambassador Renato Pedro O Villa said that the new date of the visit would be set in coordination with the Kuwaiti authorities.
President Duterte was initially expected to visit Kuwait on the 30th of April to seal a bilateral labour agreement.
In a statement to Alanba, the Philippine envoy said that a new round of talks on the new draft labour deal would be held before Duterte’s visit.
He commended the Kuwaiti side for its flexibility, adding that the joint labour agreement is on a good track.
