A Kuwaiti media figure was prevented from shooting a serial on women driving cars in Saudi Arabia, Almowaten reported.
Minister of Culture and Information Awwad bin Saleh Al Awwad issued an edict banning Halima Boland from filming on Saudi territories.
The TV presenter and host was scheduled to start filming of the serial in Saudi Arabia within a few days.
The minister warned against exploiting the "positive decisions undertaken by the Saudi government to promote anything which offends ethical values or violate media policy".
Saudi General Sports Authority chairman Turki Al Sheikh had ordered the closure of a women's fitness centre in Riyadh last Friday over a contentious promotional video that showed a woman in figure-hugging workout attire.
The controversial video featured Halima who was heard commenting on a female fitness instructor, who has since been deported from the country.
