Manama: Bahrain’s Faisal Al Ansari has qualified to the next round on one of the Middle East’s most popular TV talent contests.
The 32-year-old has made it to the semi final of The Voice Ahla Sowt, which airs every Saturday night on MBC1.
Last night’s result even prompted Foreign Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa to congratulate Mr Al Ansari on Twitter.
Mr Al Ansari, who has a four-year-old daughter, started singing when he was four years old and also plays piano, guitar and qanun.
He has impressed A-list judges who include Ahlam Al Shamsi, Assi Al Halaani, Ellisa and Mohammed Hamaki.
