Beauty cream banned in Oman

A beauty cream product has been banned in Oman after it was found that it contained a prohibited mercury substance, Oman Observer reported.

The Public Authority for Consumer Protection (PACP) announced the ban and ordered suppliers to withdraw the product from the market.

Violators found in breach of the law will be fined up to OMR1,000. The penalty will be doubled in case the violation is repeated.
