The Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) has named its delegation officials for the 18th Asian Games in Jakarta and Palemgang.
The games, from August 18 to September2, will have around 15,000 athletes and team officials.
Although the sports programme has to be confirmed, it is expected to feature 28 Olympic sports and six non-Olympic events. Organisers are preparing to recruit 5,000 volunteers to ensure the smooth running of events.
Bahrain’s administration team to the games was declared at a committee meeting chaired by BOC secretary general Abdulrahman Askar.
BOC board member Bader Nasser was named delegation manager, with Ali Yasine as deputy manager.
Other delegation officials include Olympic Solidarity director Maryam Mardana, treasurer Yaqoub Abdulmohsin, international affairs specialist Hasan Abdulrahim, media members Hasan Ali, Mohamed Al Rumaili, Ali Al Halwachi and physician Dr Francisco Chapman.
Askar urged the chosen members to put in their best efforts and wished them success.
