Najran – The Saudi air defence managed to intercept a ballistic missile, which was launched by the Iran-backed Houthi militias late last night.
The Patriot anti-air defences detected the missile, which was launched from the governorate of Omran at 12.39 am and intercepted it successfully as it was heading to target the city of Najran.
Saudi-led Arab Alliance spokesman Colonel Turki Al-Malki said that the ballistic missile was launched to target, intentionally, civilian-populated areas in the city of Najran in southern Saudi Arabia.
“Debris fell on residential areas in the city without causing any casualties “, he said, accusing Tehran regime of backing the terrorist militias, in breach of the UN resolutions 2216 and 2231.
